Silicone vs. Saline?
Silicone Implants
These are filled with a gel-like substance that feels more like natural breast tissue. Silicone implants tend to have a more natural feel and appearance, as the gel inside mimics the consistency of natural breast tissue. They are less likely to ripple. Silicone provides a more consistent and predictable result, making it a popular choice for many patients.
Saline Implants
These are filled with a sterile saltwater solution (saline). They are inserted empty and then filled once in place. While saline implants are generally less expensive than silicone, they may feel firmer and less natural compared to silicone implants. They can also cause rippling or wrinkling under the skin, especially in women with less breast tissue.

What types of breast implants are available?
Breast implants come in a range of shapes, sizes, and textures, all of which impact the volume and appearance of your breasts. Dr. Moz will recommend the ideal size based on your body frame, desired outcome, and personal goals.
At Belladerma, we offer a variety of implant manufacturers to ensure each procedure is tailored to meet the unique needs of our patients. While styles may vary by manufacturer, the most common implant characteristics include:
- Shape
- Round: Uniform in shape and provide a full, rounded appearance, often chosen to achieve a more lifted and fuller look.
- Teardrop: Shaped more like a natural breast, with a fuller bottom and a tapering top for a more natural look.
- Texture
- Smooth Implants: Have a smooth outer shell, allowing them to move more freely within the breast tissue, giving a softer feel.
- Textured Implants: Have a rough outer surface that helps the implant adhere to the surrounding tissue, reducing the chance of rotation.
- Profile (refers to how much the implant projects from the chest)
- Low Profile: Provides less projection but a wider base.
- Moderate Profile: A middle ground in projection and width.
- High Profile: Offers more projection with a narrower base, suitable for a more prominent appearance.
