What Is Upneeq®?

Upneeq® is a prescription eye drop treatment that lifts the upper eyelids. It is the only FDA-approved treatment for acquired ptosis, more commonly known as low-lying eyelids. Drooping eyelids can interfere with vision while also causing a tired appearance in the eyes. With regular use of Upneeq®, patients can naturally lift the upper eyelids to eliminate these concerns and achieve a rejuvenated appearance.

How Much Does Upneeq® Cost in San Diego, CA?

Upneeq® is a prescription-only cosmetic product, so the price will vary depending on the amount needed to fulfill your treatment goals and where you get your prescription filled.During your consultation for Upneeq® at Belladerma Cosmetic Surgery & Skin Care Center, we’ll explain the possible costs associated with your personalized Upneeq® treatment plan.

What Are the Benefits of Upneeq®?

Upneeq® may be the preferred method for lifting the upper eyelids, as it offers the following benefits:

  • Daily, topical treatment
  • No surgery or invasive techniques
  • Noticeable results within hours
  • Improved eyelid lift
  • Improved field of vision

How Does Upneeq® Work?

After receiving a prescription for Upneeq® in-office, Upneeq® is self-administered at home on a daily basis. Upneeq® is administered by applying a single drop of the Upneeq® formula to each upper eyelid. Patients with contact lenses are advised to remove their contact lenses before the application of Upneeq®. It takes only a few minutes to use Upneeq® and fits easily into any daily routine.

What Results Can I Expect From Upneeq®?

During clinical trials, some patients started seeing results within minutes of applying Upneeq® to the upper eyelids. The majority of patients, however, should expect to see results approximately 2 hours after the first application. These benefits should persist as long as patients continue Upneeq® treatments, with patients experiencing an average lift of 1mm in the upper eyelids.

UPNEEQ®

Can Upneeq® Be Combined with Other Procedures?

Upneeq® is a great option for patients with mild to moderate acquired ptosis. It can help reduce the symptoms of low-lying lids to improve your field of vision and the appearance. However, patients who fail to achieve their desired results with Upneeq® may want to consider more aggressive treatment options, such as blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
